The Berkhamsted Walk

About the walk

The Berkhamsted Walk is a wonderful day out in beautiful countryside that raises money for The Children's Society to help support vulnerable children. The walk routes vary from year to year. There are usually three walks (6, 12 and 18 miles) but, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are running a scaled-down event with one 12-mile circular walk.

Walkers will be emailed detailed instructions, which you can print off or follow using a mobile device. We can also supply a GPX file if you would like the walk in this format. In addition, the route will be clearly signposted on the walk date from 9.30am. Please note that the signage will be taken down at 5.00pm.

The walk starts in central Berkhamsted but you can join it at any point as it is a circular route. There is no need to sign in on the day – just start walking when you are ready to go.

There will be a checkpoint approximately halfway round - this will be manned from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

If you are unable to join us on Sunday 19th September 2021 but would like to take part and support The Children's Society, please register and make a donation and we will send you instructions so that you can enjoy the walk at a time to suit you.

"Gorgeous walk, perfect time of year (bluebells), well organised, friendly staff and great lemonade."
